Today's stone comes in a wide array of colors and textures making landscaping options nearly limitless. Here are two common stones that belong in this category:

 

*Flagstone

 Naturally-Occurring Flagstone is the Thinnest of all Stones

and Often contains Quartz which Gives it a Nearly Translucent Quality.

> Commonly used for Patio & Deck Covering, Fireplaces, Outdoor Kitchens, Retaining Walls, and more 

> Colors are nearly limitless and range from Rose Hues to Rusts, Whites, Grays, and Browns

 

*Builders

The Term used to Describe Thicker Irregular Stones

that can be Used for Any Landscaping Purpose

> Commonly used for Outdoor Fireplaces, Outdoor Kitchens, Retaining Walls, Column Mailboxes, and more 

> Nearly any stone worldwide is available as a "Builder Stone" making color and texture options limitless

Block Shaped Landscaping Stone

Stone that naturally occurs in slabs are easily cut into blocks that range from extremely thick to small neat pieces that are similar in size to brick. Although some are sanded and polished for use on flooring and internal walls, landscaping rock is generally left with a certain amount of texture that gives it added dimension. Listed below are a couple types of Block Shaped stones common to landscaping:

 

*Blanco Stone

 Blanco Stone is cut from huge naturally-occurring vertical slabs.

Its colors range from grays and silvers to nearly pure white, rusts, and golds.

> Commonly used for Retaining Walls, Planter Beds, Outdoor Kitchens, Fireplaces and more 

 

*Chopped Oklahoma Stone

Oklahoma Stone is actually thick flagstone that is chopped into irregular size blocks.

Colors range from Deep Rose, and Rusts, to Grays and Blacks

> Commonly used for Column Mailboxes, Outdoor Kitchens, Retaining Walls, and more
